Autumn 2023  ← BACK

November 4, 2023

I know, I know…once again I haven’t posted anything in months. Sorry!! Needless to say, it was another busy summer performing in so many states, I consistently lost track of what time zone I was in and what state I was in…other than the state of confusion. And now we’re about to wrap up the last of our fall dates and begin our Christmas shows to take us through rest of the year.

As usual, for most of the shows, we were the only act on the bill, but we did play quite a few shows with our friends, The Buckinghams, The Cowsills, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, The Grass Roots, 1910 Fruitgum Co, Jay & The Americans, Jay Siegal & The Tokens, Tommy James & The Shondells, The Association, etc. And we also opened a show for Melissa Etheridge in Omaha, NE…she was very nice and put on a great show.

I’d like to thank everyone that wished me a happy birthday…the phone calls, text messages, Facebook & LinkedIn posts, etc. I’m the luckiest guy in the world to have so many friends and from the bottom of my heart…THANK YOU!!

Locally, Billy & I are about to finish our fourth year performing every Monday at Arnie’s Clubhouse Grill. It’s such a blast playing every week for our long-time friends and high school alumni. We’ve even had Noonatics from other states surprising us with a visit.

Also, in Cleveland, I’m now fronting a brand-new band. We’re called “Closer 2 Home” celebrating the music of Grand Funk Railroad. The band members are: ex Love Affair bandmate John Zdravecky on guitar, Mike Rice (who I played with in my first band when I was 14yrs old) on bass, Mike Kovacs on drums & Scott Turner organ/keyboards. We are debuting the new band on December 19th at the Winchester Music Tavern in Lakewood at 7:00p. Freddie Jackson is opening the show. Talk to ya soon!

It was awesome seeing you and Billy at Arnie’s. Hope to do it again some time in 2024.

Rich as always your blog is a pleasure to read. We as usual were fortunate to have attended our fair share of HHSPN concerts in NY and Florida. Somehow we managed to find our way to Big Flats again. Who would miss The Grass Roots, Herman’s Hermits staring Peter Noone and Tommy James. We will finish the year in Ocala and Clearwater with Bowzer’s Christmas Show.

    Thanks for the entertainment
    Bruce and Toni
