The two Cleveland singers had a myriad of musical references and experiences coming into the project. Lewin had sung backing for Wayne Newton and Lee was working with Michael Stanley (among others). The new quartet kept the handle The Cover Girls as they performed vocally challenging renditions of hits by The Mamas & Papas, The Fifth Dimension and others. Their debut in 1997 led to a continuing role for the band playing corporate parties, fairs and clubs when time allowed.

Drummer Mike Hudak actually joined the group in 1999, making the name of the band even stranger!! Conflicting schedules make dates for The Cover Girls somewhat sparse these days, but all of the members look forward to playing together when they can. Their vocals are exceptional and the chemistry is great between these five professionals.
