Spina and Sullivan reunion, April 3rd 2013
|
In 2008, Rich reunited with his longtime friend and collaborator, Billy Sullivan and began playing around town again as “Spina and Sullivan,” which led to more shows as “Spina, Sullivan and Hudak,” and then the return of “The Cover Girls.” Around this time, there were some changes in the Hermit’s lineup and Rich suggested to Peter that Billy join the band. Peter agreed and Billy joined the Hermit’s in 2009.
In 2010, Rich recorded a song with Cleveland legend Wally Bryson (The Raspberries, The Choir), which led to him joining the Wally Bryson Group. The band plays select shows around town and plans to do some out of town shows as well. The group plays songs from Bryson’s entire career (Raspberries, The Choir, Tattoo, Fotomaker, etc.)
And to bring everything full circle, Love Affair’s original lineup reunited for a concert at Tangier’s in Akron, Ohio in 2012. When news got out that all the original members would be taking part, a second show had to be added. The shows were a huge success and even featured Jeff Hair, their long time soundman and unofficial 6th member mixing them.
