MERRY CHRISTMAS!  ← BACK

December 27, 2021

Wow, Christmas Day has come and gone and I just realized the last time I posted a blog was in the spring. We’ve been so busy the last few months that weeks have felt like days…I got on a plane in the beginning of August and the next thing I knew, it was the end of December. But it sure has felt good being back on the road, seeing old friends, fans & fellow artists that I hadn’t seen since the pandemic began.

“Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone on stage”

Our tour schedule took us to California, Kentucky, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Texas, Illinois, Oregon, Nevada, Washington, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Arizona, New York, Iowa, Indiana, New Jersey, Georgia, Michigan, Louisiana, Maryland, Virginia & Florida…some of them multiple times.

“On stage during one of our Christmas shows”
“Backstage before the show. L to R: Gary Puckett, Mike Candito, me, Woody Lingle, Dave Ferrara & Peter Noone”

While on tour we also got to perform with a lot of our old friends…The Buckinghams, Dennis Tufano, The Grass Roots, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, Lou Christie, Bowzer, Henry Gross, Johnny Contardo, The Classics IV, The Vogues, The Association, etc. Needless to say, it was really nice seeing & performing with everyone again.

“Backstage with Lou Christie”
“Billy & I doing a little switcheroo at Arnie’s Clubhouse Grill”

Locally, Billy & I are still performing every Monday at Arnie’s Clubhouse Grill…for 2 years now & it’s always a great time. Every week is like a high school reunion with many of our Midpark High School Alumni showing up every week thanks to Nancy Rylow & Joe Silva.

“On stage at The Music Box for the Bill March Show”
“Taking a bow after our annual night of Rolling Stones. L to R: Bob Barno, me, Eric Sosinski, Jon Darling & Jim Tigue”

I also found the time to play in a few different fun shows around town…playing acoustic guitar for Bill March’s show at The Music Box this past summer, playing keys for Jim Tigue & Eroc Sosinsski’s annual Rolling Stone gig this past fall & of course, the night before Thanksgiving Spina, Sullivan & Hudak show at the Front St Social. All three shows were a blast!!

Time to sign off for now but I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas & may your New Year be a healthy, happy & successful one.

Rich, it was a light year for us but so thankful to see HHSPN 4 times in 4 states. Thanks for the good shows thanks for taking some time in your busy schedule to catch up with us in the Georgia mountains. We will try harder in 22 to see more shows. January 3 is coming and can’t wait. Good way to start the year and we’ve got other HHSPN shows booked. Enjoy your time at home and Happy New Year!

Reading about the speed with which August through December went for you…I agree whole heartedly. One would think that it would be easy to start up again on a former regular schedule BUT, apparently, we re-structured our schedules during covid to take up the empty space and now we are filling it twice over. I mean it all fits in, of course, but somehow it just speeds up the turn-table from 33rpm to 78rpm.

It was great heating where all you played this year. You sure are busy. Still hoping you may come to a venue around Pittsburg. Or I will have to come to ohio to visit Shari and Ken and Sandie and Butch and hope to catch.one of your local shows. Have a very happy healthy New Yeat. Tell Frank I said hi.🥰
